EVG Martens GmbH & Co. KG: New dimensions in brand communication

The launch of the new website provides fresh perspectives in the electrical engineering sector.

In collaboration with the agency MINT, the new website of EVG Martens GmbH & Co. KG, the distributor and contract partner for electromechanical components was created and is the latest measure of a comprehensive image campaign that MINT develops and implements for the company. The redesign of the EVG company website underlines the company claim “Turning ideas into solutions” and aims to fundamentally improve both the aesthetics and functionality of the site. Not only are the approximately 75,000 products as well as information about partners, news, trade fairs, services etc. easier and more intuitive to find and optimally displayed on all devices. Claudia Darius, marketing manager at EVG, also sees the benefits of the modernized website: “The new website reflects our commitment to always providing the best possible service and meeting the needs of our customers. The improvements are a big step forward. ”

It's the structure that counts

The entire page architecture has been redesigned to enable user-friendly navigation. The structure and design were specifically developed to meet the needs of the various user groups. In this way, customers and partners are guided more efficiently to the content that is important to them. The new UX design and the new search function are also designed to make detours and wanderings through sub-pages a thing of the past. A separate, prominent area has been set up for current news and blog posts to keep interested parties up to date.

But the presentation also

The new features also include a modern user interface, which is not only aesthetically appealing, but also improves the user experience through new, easy-to-understand icons. This also includes a completely new login and user administration area. A well-thought-out color system helps to clearly differentiate the product areas and provide better orientation — a goal that was also at the forefront of the comprehensive overhaul of the online shop with its over 75,000 products. Overall, the website's visual language is in line with the current “Little People” campaign and improves the visual experience of users. In addition, the new corporate typography was adopted to provide a consistent appearance.

Small people — big campaign

The overall campaign reflects EVG's attention to detail and comprehensive know-how and has long been disseminated via various channels such as exhibition stands and social media as well as through print and digital brochures. It has also already taken place on the website, but now more present and in a new design. For the campaign, real employees were digitized in detail using a 3D body scan and then printed as miniature models. “Employees play a central role at EVG,” says Senior Customer Manager Hansjörg Milkereit. “That is why they should also be prominently represented in public image. The miniature figures are a creative way to implement this. ” These figures were used alongside products in various visuals in order to symbolically bring the proximity to both the products and the customers at eye level and to underline the human side of the company. Something that often fades into the background in the technology-focused industry.

Collaborative development and rapid deployment

The agency MINT contributes its expertise in brand development and creative concept design to design the communicative measures of EVG Martens precisely and effectively. The two companies work hand in hand not only to plan their communication strategies, but also to dynamically adapt them to changing market conditions and internal developments. The close coordination enables both teams to communicate quickly from conception to implementation and to implement ideas without delays. The successful implementation of the image campaign and the relaunch of the website demonstrate the successful and productive collaboration. MINT and EVG Martens are continuously working on the development and optimization of corporate communications. We can be excited to see what the future brings.
