Schmidt + Clemens GmbH
Schmidt + Clemens, one of the leading providers of stainless steel solutions, has a corporate culture that goes beyond technology. To bring the “Ambition 2030” strategic direction to life, we redefined the central guidelines with the team. The purpose, mission and vision were refined, the values were revised, and an additional core value emphasising the strength of the family business and setting it apart from short-term profit-driven companies was added: “long-term thinking”.
We developed a modular design system that visually sums up the character of “Ambition 2030.” The core is a key visual with associated, individual icons — translated into a flexible set of print media such as posters and flyers. Implemented in multiple languages (German, English, Spanish, Czech), it ensures maximum comprehensibility and presence at all locations. Because only understood guidelines can be put into practice.
The key visual of Ambition 2030 combines the purpose, mission, vision and values of the company as design elements. They should not only be designed, but told: In an animated explanatory video, we bring all elements to the point in a lively and understandable way.
We developed a film that can be accessed directly at communication hotspots via a QR code on posters and flyers. From storyboards to animation, text development, voice casting and voice recording in four languages, it is eye-catching, smart and accessible. Why did we go to such lengths? Because we appeal not only to marketing managers with a sense for such messages, but also to the entire workforce. Also, information in video form is generally easier to grasp.
Further formats for the rollout are already in the starting blocks. In this way, we ensure that the corporate culture at S+C is not simply on the wall, but is understood and integrated into everyday working life.
